Sportainment

We know it was always true. The modern phenomena of competitive sports is nothing more than a spectacle to entertain the masses, another brand of opium for them sometimes even more effective than religion. But cricket aficionados have always tried to romanticize the sport and assign greater meaning to the antics of the "flannelled fools". Here is one proof that breaks the illusion, and shows sports for what it is.
